I have one of those drag buses somewhere. Different livery though.

Both came with a set that was exclusive to RLC members... Cool thing that both drag buses had a small drag chute, activated by a little lever on the set. You can find in eBay, but prepare your wallet...

I've been lurking around oppo for quite awhile now. I usually keep up with posts during my 12 hour work day but can't post comments because my work bowser blocks kinja. That being said all these hot wheels posts are really starting to get me to wanting to unpack all hot wheels I bought 15 years ago. I especially loved the drag buses when the came out in 1996, it's by far my all time favorite hot wheel followed by my Viper collection. I mostly collected the first editions when they came out as well as some of the more pricey limited edition that had rubber wheels and working hoods and doors. But dang do those vw buses get my collector juices flowing.

I think every opponaut must have a Hot Wheels addiction of some level...

Yea, the bus I have I got when I was a kid. I have thousands of cars from my childhood tucked away in the attic. Lately I've been buying and trading a lot though. The addiction resurfaced.

Its funny you say that. I certainly do not. I have absolutely zero interest in hot wheels diescast, etc. But, Im a lover, not a hater. If some of my fellow opponauts dig hot wheels do your thang!
